About Our Play971 Guide

Last reviewed: October 2026

This website is an independent guide to Play971. We are not the operator, we cannot see your account, and we do not take bets. Our aim is to give UAE players clear, sourced facts about Play971 before they decide whether to sign up.

Who We Are

We are a small team of writers who follow the regulated gaming market in the Gulf. We started this guide when Play971 launched, because early information about it was scattered across news articles and social media posts, some of it inaccurate.

This site earns money through some of the links that send visitors to play971.ae. Those links are marked, and a commission never changes what we write about eligibility, risks or rules.

Who Operates Play971

Play971 is run by Coin Technology Projects LLC, a company based at twofour54 in the Yas Creative Hub, Abu Dhabi. Industry reports link the company to Momentum LLC through its subsidiary TheGame LLC, which also runs the national lottery.

The operator holds two licences from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority: one for internet gaming and one for sports wagering. Reports describe it as the nineteenth licence the GCGRA had issued since it was created in September 2023. Play971 went live in late November 2025.

Technology partners named in industry coverage include Sportradar for sports data and Xpoint for geolocation checks.

Is Play971 Legal in the UAE?

The platform operates under a UAE licence, which makes it the regulated option for online casino games and sports betting in the country. Legal use still depends on your situation:

  • You must be 21 or older.
  • You must be physically in the UAE, in an area where Play971 is permitted. Reports in 2026 listed Dubai as restricted.
  • Emirati nationals face additional restrictions linked to their home emirate.
  • Each player may hold one account, verified with an Emirates ID.

Offshore gaming websites that target the UAE do not hold a GCGRA licence, whatever their branding claims. Rules can also change as the market develops, so check the terms on play971.ae and the GCGRA website for the latest position.

How We Research Play971

Each page on this guide is built from:

  • information published on play971.ae and in its terms
  • statements from the GCGRA
  • reporting from established UAE and gaming industry media

We note the date each page was last reviewed at the top. When a fact cannot be confirmed, such as the size of a welcome bonus or the existence of a store app, we say so rather than guess.
